Levapor Foam MBBR for WWTP | Beta Pramesti

Evaluate Levapor Foam MBBR by wastewater load, adsorption, biofilm, shock load, media retention, aeration, cleaning, and pilot proof.

Levapor Foam MBBR for WWTP | Beta Pramesti

Levapor Foam MBBR is a foam-based carrier for moving-bed biofilm treatment that can be evaluated when a WWTP needs biological start-up support, capacity improvement, or shock-load response. PT Beta Pramesti Asia assesses the media from wastewater character, BOD/COD/ammonia targets, media retention, aeration, mixing, cleaning, and pilot evidence in Indonesia.

Technically reviewed: 4 August 2026.

When should Levapor Foam MBBR be compared with other media?

Levapor Foam MBBR should be compared when wastewater fluctuates, reactor area is constrained, or the project needs media with pore structure and supporting adsorption. The decision still needs treatability testing because toxic compounds, oil, salinity, extreme pH, and shear can change biofilm response.

Data needed before a pilot

Prepare flow, BOD, COD, TSS, ammonia, nitrogen, phosphorus, pH, temperature, conductivity, oil and grease, inhibitory compounds, load profile, reactor drawings, and outlet target. Agree the stabilisation period, sampling parameters, load-change limits, and success criteria before media is installed.

For process alternatives, compare MBBR chips, moving bed bioreactors, activated sludge, and biological booster. Where oil load is high, evaluate oil removal or DAF before the biological reactor.

Levapor Foam MBBR FAQs

Is Levapor Foam MBBR always faster to start up?

Not always. Start-up speed depends on wastewater type, inoculum, nutrients, oxygen, temperature, and load ramp. Any start-up claim should be supported by pilot data or comparable application experience.

Is foam media suitable for every industrial WWTP?

No. Wastewater with high oil, coarse solids, toxic compounds, high salinity, or excessive shear needs pretreatment and compatibility testing before media selection.

What shows that a pilot succeeded?

A pilot succeeds when target parameters fall at the agreed load, media retention is stable, DO and pH remain controlled, plugging is manageable, and laboratory results are consistent during the test period.
