Industrial DAF for FOG and TSS | Beta Pramesti Asia
Betaqua industrial DAF for FOG, TSS, light floc, and oily wastewater. Verify chemistry, recycle, skimmer, sludge, and commissioning evidence.
Industrial DAF is selected when oil, grease, light floc, or fine solids are easier to float than settle. PT Beta Pramesti Asia, through beta.co.id, supplies Betaqua Dissolved Air Flotation in Indonesia with review of wastewater character, coagulant-flocculant programme, pressurised recycle, skimmer, sludge route, and commissioning acceptance criteria.

BETAQUA DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION (IDAF)

Betaqua Dissolved Air Flotation (IDAF) is a product that can efficiently remove suspended solids, fats, oils, grease, and phosphorus from industrial wastewater by using micro bubble generation. Integrating traditional design with modern technology, the process involves dosing wastewater with treatment chemicals to form flocs, which are then lifted by microbubbles to the surface for removal. Clean effluent is then discharged, with the microbubbles generated in an air saturation vessel and released through an air diffuser plate, to ensure effective flotation.

Technical Specifications

DAF selection proof before purchase
DAF should be tested with the actual sample because performance depends on water chemistry, floc formation, bubble size, recycle ratio, contact time, and surface-sludge removal. Brochure removal numbers are not enough to accept a design.
| Wastewater condition | DAF decision | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| High FOG or emulsified oil | Test coagulation, pH, polymer, and flotation first | Bench or pilot result, clarified underflow quality, and sludge volume |
| High TSS that settles readily | Compare DAF with a clarifier | Settling rate, carryover, chemical demand, and sludge cost |
| Floc is too fragile for settling | DAF may reduce floc breakage from long retention time | Jar-test result, flotation test, and realistic mixing settings |
| Load changes by shift | Consider equalisation and dosing control | Flow, pH, COD/TSS/FOG trend, and dosing alarms |
| Surface sludge is heavy | Confirm skimmer, hopper, and dewatering readiness | Wet-sludge balance, dry-solids percentage, and sludge treatment route |
Connect DAF with coagulants, flocculants, dosing pumps, and oil removal for wastewater so buyers evaluate the whole process package, not only the flotation tank.
Industrial DAF FAQ
When is DAF better than a clarifier?
DAF is usually better when oil, grease, or light floc will not settle reliably in a clarifier. If solids settle readily and the sludge route is simple, a clarifier may be more economical; the decision should follow sample testing and the effluent target.
Does DAF always need coagulants and flocculants?
Not always, but many industrial wastewaters need coagulant, pH adjustment, or polymer so the floc is strong enough for bubbles to lift. Dose should be confirmed by jar and flotation tests, then verified in field operation.
What data does Beta need for DAF sizing?
Send average and peak flow, pH, TSS, FOG, COD/BOD, temperature, surfactants where present, effluent target, jar-test results, installation space, utilities, and sludge-disposal plan through the Beta contact page.
